Marita Vaskova

Marita arrived in Portugal in 1999 and never looked back. Lisbon cast its spell — sunlit tiles, river light, endless ochres and blues - and it never let go. Her paintings capture that feeling: luminous, bold, alive with quiet detail that pulls you in closer.

Cityscapes, rooftops, wandering figures. Colours that breathe and light that shifts. A world where there is always something new to find.

PERSONAL STATEMENT

I find inspiration in the everyday - light on walls, the rhythm of rooftops, arches, and balconies. I am drawn to places where shape meets colour in unexpected ways. My work is rooted in urban geometry, but it is equally about feeling.

I layer silhouettes, textures, and forms to create depth and movement, blurring the line between realism and abstraction. Every painting is a window into another reality - where my impressions meet your imagination.
