A single-colour linocut print in vivid neon orange, hand-pressed on a conventional analogue press. The same carved apple motif blazes here in its most intense incarnation — the ink shifts from a fierce, saturated orange-red at the top to a warm, luminous amber-yellow at the bottom, as if the fruit itself is on fire or bathed in the last light of a summer evening.

The white lines carved into the block radiate outward with particular force in this colourway — the high contrast between the brilliant ink and the bare paper gives the composition an almost electric charge. Bold, gestural, and unapologetically vivid, this is the most energetic print in the Apple series.

This is number 1 from a limited edition of just 5 hand-pulled impressions, signed and dated in pencil by the artist. As the first pull of the edition, it carries particular significance for collectors.
