A magnificent heron strides through a nocturnal wetland, its wings caught mid-spread in extraordinary detail - every feather rendered in intricate swirling inkwork against a deep starlit background. 

Iris blooms and reed stems fill the scene with bold greens and muted purples, while the bird's rust-orange beak and legs break free beyond the picture's edge, blurring the boundary between image and paper.
